The important compounds in the green tea are powerful antioxidants known as catechin polyphenols, particularly the antioxidant epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). Antioxidants destroy free radicals and toxins in our body. These are caused by environmental pollutants, radiation and lifestyle.
